Here is the newest addition to the Santi Zoo. Meet Peanut (yes...my father named the cat after Jeff Dunham's puppet ^^;) who showed up here just four days before the big snow/ice storm we had. Today marks him being with us for 2wks.

He is the absolutely sweetest cat, and also exceedingly tiny. He showed up Sat. Jan 24 at 11'o'clock at night. Why did I take note of the time, because my parents had been asleep since about 8. >_> I knew that they were going to blame the cat on me, and hence my complaining to the kitten why couldn't he have shown up 3 hours earlier.

At any rate, I couldn't just leave him in the driveway; it was going to get to be 20 that night and I didn't want him to freeze. My actual main problem was that there's no leash law in f'ing KY so everyone lets their dogs run loose. Including our yahoo neighbors two doors down that own 3 pittbulls; kitten would've been LUNCH.

So I took him into the Rec Room that night, after telling sis and bro to NOT get attached because it was going to the pound, and asked Dad what we were going to do about 'my friend' the next day and he was like I dunno ask your mother....

...I proceeded to not get attached by leaving Dad in the Rec Room with our newest addition for around 4 hours. Peanut's saving grace was that my Mom wasn't off and it was a Sunday xD (and that I left Dad alone with him for 4 hours xD)

So he's going to be our indoor/outdoor cat. Outside when people are outside and inside the rest of the time. He's our very mellow barn kitten. Bodywise, he's three months old...However, he has all his adult teeth and the vet places him at about 6 months old (needless to say all (me, Mom, and vet) were stunned because he looks like a 3mnth old). Poor guy, severely maulnourished, exceedingly underweight...And loves people when he really shouldn't. Six months old and he doesn't even know what cat toys are and how to play with them.

...Really I hate people. Stupid ones should be shot, thereby removing them from the gene pool so they can't reproduce.

On another note, I think we should open our own chapter of the ASPCA, or Humane Society, seeing as how every stray within a 50 mile radius ends up on our front doorstep.
Peanut makes the third stray to show up since we've been here, and our fifth rescue within the sametime period (Eddie, Milo, Tucker and Magnum coming before him, respectively).

:ohmygod: It seems like the one outside of my house that trips me every f'ing night when I'm going out to my car is related to this Peanut...Honestly, it's like it just came about two weeks AFTER Peanut got to your house. It's a girl btw. I bought it food, and I plan on bringing it to the vet within a few weeks when I get money in to see what I can do for it or if it's okay and whatnot. I'm hoping to get a place where it can have a better home. I swear that thing is ATTACHED to me. Every time it sees me it attacks. I threw it out of my way THREE time, twice over the porch railing and one by the tail because it almost caused me to break my neck coming down the porch steps. :chainsaw: and it STILL came back to me X.x..and it wants to be IN the house! It LOVES people. But when it came, it was skinny, badly.

But---sad as it may be...I think I'm becoming attached to the little thing. >,> And I HATE cats. Go figure.

LOL> It's your curse. You're now pouring it over here! >,> I'll so get you for that :finger:

I still say it can see the big 'sucker' sign on your forehead x-p

It's hard not to get attached to something that little, attention starved, plain starved, and defenseless. Peanut is still skinny, he was exceedingly wormy when he got here, still is unfortunately.

LOL. Ya that is amusing that you're becoming attached x-p The only reason you hate cats is cause you've never met any good decent kitties.

Sure you will...I anxiously await it xD

Yeah XD lol It is now FAT and it comes into my lap when I sit down. My mom refuses to keep it in the house and I silently agree. The cat likes to jump on everything..play everywhere. ;-;.

If I do find a good home for it, I'm going to let it go lol. But right now...apparently nobody is taking cats in. And so I have to buy a lot of food for it...It eats like a pig! lol. Then again the dogs from the neighbors comes and eats the food. ;-; ugh. I'm about to take something to those dogs.
